The Vivo X200 Ultra is a smartphone that is more akin to a professional camera than a phone.

It appears that releasing smartphones with built-in photo studios has become commonplace. With the release of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra in 2023, Xiaomi initiated this trend, which it has continued with the release of its most recent high-end phone, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra.

With the assistance of the well-known photography firm Zeiss, Vivo is now joining the trend. Yes, the Vivo X200 Ultra, the most expensive model in the Vivo X200 series and more akin to a professional camera than a phone, was recently released by the Chinese company.

All of the Vivo X200 Ultra phone's features and costs are listed below.

The 6.68-inch AMOLED screen of the Vivo X200 Ultra has a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and 2K resolution. It has a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, up to 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage for performance. So far, there's nothing groundbreaking, which is what you'd expect from a premium flagship phone in 2025.

But it's the photography department that sets it apart. To start, it comes with a dedicated camera button like the one on the iPhone 16. Plus, it has a dual ISP system. This means the camera has two image processing chips: VS1, which handles image information regarding exposure and focus, and V3, which handles post-processing (noise reduction, etc.).

As for the sensors, it has two 50MP Sony sensors (main and wide-angle) and one 200MP Samsung sensor. The latter is a telephoto lens that can offer 3.7x optical zoom. If that's not enough, the camera comes with a photography kit that includes a 2.35x telephoto lens, a grip with a shutter release, and an additional 2,300 mAh battery.

Finally, it's worth noting that all the optics are Zeiss-branded (both those covering the phone's sensors and those for the additional lens group) and that it comes with a powerful 6,000 mAh battery with 90W fast charging and 40W wireless charging.

The Vivo X200 Ultra is already available for sale in China, but it's still unknown when it will be available in the rest of the world. It's worth noting that its predecessor (the Vivo X100 Ultra) didn't leave the Chinese market last year, so it's likely this phone won't leave the Chinese market either.

It's sold in the Asian country for a starting price of 6,499 yuan, equivalent to about $775. However, if it ever reaches this part of the world, it'll likely cost around $1,200 due to taxes.
