With Google Meet, you can now use AI to create personalized video call backgrounds.

Artificial intelligence has been incorporated into Google's video calls. The business recently updated Meet with a feature that allows you to use generative AI to create unique backgrounds. The tech giant promised that during virtual meetings, we will not need to use third-party software to conceal untidy living rooms. Although not everyone has access to it, the feature has been available since early March.

This feature is only accessible with paid Business Standard, Business Plus, and Enterprise subscriptions, the company states on its official blog. It is interesting to note that Google Workspace increased its prices earlier this year, and this integration occurs just weeks after Gemini 2.0's global launch.

The procedure is straightforward: Gemini creates a number of options for the user to select from after they write a description of the situation they wish to be behind. Google has developed a system that modifies perspective and lighting to make the user's blending with the background seem more organic.

Gradually, this feature is being introduced. Eighty percent of eligible users have already used the feature, and the remaining users will get it before March 20th, according to Google.
