Until now, if you wanted to use ChatGPT on your Android phone, you had three options: use the official app directly, go to its website, or use a third-party app that integrates this chatbot.
Now you won't need to do any of that, because OpenAI has developed a new feature that will make your life easier: using ChatGPT as your assistant on Android.
With it, you can make inquiries using your voice, in addition to accessing all the classic ChatGPT features without having to open the app or go to its website.
The only requirement is to install the official ChatGPT app on your Android phone, after which you should do the following:
- Go to your mobile phone's settings menu.
- Enter the applications submenu.
- Click on "Default Apps."
- Go to the “Digital Assistant App.”.
- Go to the “Virtual Digital Assistant” app.
- Select ChatGPT as your new assistant.
This will be configured, but how do you activate the wizard? There are two ways to do this, depending on the type of navigation you have enabled on your phone.
Navigate through buttons: Press and hold the Home button to activate ChatGPT.
Gesture navigation: Press and hold the bottom edge of the screen.
Once activated, ChatGPT's voice mode bubble will appear so you can talk to it so it can do its job.
