Discover how to use Windows' hidden feature to check the battery life of your computer

Knowing the battery health percentage and whether it is good or bad is a problem that many of us have when we want to purchase a used laptop. Since the Windows operating system does not show the battery health percentage like the Apple Mac system does, we will now provide a straightforward method for finding out the battery health percentage of any laptop.

As seen in the first image, all you need to do is launch CMD as an administrator.

This is how CMD will look after it has been opened.

To enter this code, simply type it and hit Enter.

After that, all you need to do is type powercfg-energy, hit enter, and then wait for 60 seconds.

After a while, the computer will generate a file named "energy report" and run some tests. It is located in the Windows folder on the C drive.

The battery information list can now be found by simply opening a file in the browser.

You only give a damn about:

The battery's theoretical capacity, also known as its original capacity, is the capacity at which it was manufactured.

The battery capacity following the most recent full charge of the computer.

In this manner, you can assess the battery's condition prior to purchasing a used computer.
