Vivo makes an official announcement about the Vivo V50 phone, which has a massive battery
Vivo seems to be continuing its catalogue for 2025. At the end of the year, it gave us the Vivo Y29 5G, and now it's the turn of the Vivo V50, a premium mid-range phone with a lot to offer.
A device that comes with water and dust resistance with IP68 and IP69 certifications, an optical fingerprint sensor on the screen, in addition to a surprisingly thin size for a 6000 mAh battery. In addition to enjoying a very attractive design.
Before we continue, it is worth noting that the Vivo V50 has just been launched in India, and the first units are scheduled to hit the market by the end of February. But we can’t confirm the international launch yet, so we will have to wait for more information from the manufacturer. But in the meantime, let’s see what the Vivo V50 has in store.
We'll start by talking about the multimedia department, where the Vivo V50 opts for a 6.77-inch FHD+ (2392 x 1080 pixels) Quad-curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 4500 nits. A configuration that allows the integration of a sensor under the display, as well as the promise of amazing image quality.
As for the hardware hidden inside, the Vivo V40 relies on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, the same chip used in the previous Vivo V40. We should add to that 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of storage.
Moving on to the photography department, the Vivo V50 camera outperforms all its competitors. To do so, the phone packs a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization, accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide sensor on the back. On the front, the phone also has a 50MP ultra-wide camera, so selfies are bound to be amazing.
A phone that surprises everyone with its 6000 mAh battery with 90W fast charging and comes with the Funtouch OS 15 interface based on Android 15, in addition to Vivo's warranty for three years of operating system updates and four years of security updates.
The Vivo V50 starts at around $390 for the base model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, but we'll have to wait for the announcement to confirm its pricing.
