The eagerly anticipated 24H2 version, which was made available to compatible PCs running the previously mentioned Windows 11 operating system a few weeks ago, serves as an illustration of all of this. But as we have seen in recent weeks, this eagerly anticipated update has generally caused more issues than we would have liked. For this exact reason, a large number of users have chosen to stick with the 23H2 version of the system in order to wait for these bugs to be fixed.

Which version of Windows 11 is best for gaming?
Various tests were conducted using different benchmarks to directly test the performance of this OS in both 23H2 and 24H2 versions. To give you a better idea, the newer version saw an improvement in performance of about 15% in some games. Likewise, it should be noted that in most cases the values obtained are exactly the same, with slight differences in favor of 24H2.
To perform the tests we mentioned, the popular benchmark called 3DMark was also used. Here too, the values obtained are quite similar, with a slight improvement in this case compared to the older version of Windows 11. Specifically, the 23H2 gets an improvement of between 5% and 7%. The same applies when using the GPU in purely graphics environments.
On the other hand, when it comes to using the GPU to reproduce multimedia content in the form of videos, the performance between both versions of the operating system is very similar. The differences here are practically non-existent.
Differences in overall performance in Windows 11 23H2 and 24H2
Naturally, general performance tests were also performed on both versions of Microsoft's operating system. The fact is that the differences obtained, as with graphical tests, are not very significant. This is especially true, for example, when compressing and decompressing files.
Likewise, these slight differences in performance on our Windows 11 PC extend to the use of available RAM in multiple loads. In short, if you want to wait for Microsoft to fix the issues that appeared in the 24H2 release, you can do so without any problems. The truth is that the performance difference between the two versions is not that big at the moment.
