This represents the global population of Internet users, the ranking of the nations with the highest Internet usage, and an advanced ranking of an Arab nation

The Internet has become an element of regular use for a large part of the world's population. In fact, the number of Internet users who have the possibility to connect in one way or another at the present time is increasing year by year.
We can confirm that for many Internet users, connectivity has become an essential element of their daily lives, both personally and professionally. Hence, we now have all kinds of devices through which we can access online platforms, services and applications. And we are not only talking about the desktop computer, laptop or mobile phone. Most televisions today also have connectivity, as do many appliances, furniture, watches, bracelets and even clothing.
All these means of communication and connected devices are gradually spreading in most of the countries that are part of our planet. Even sometimes when we travel to remote places, we find mobile phones and devices that can work through the Internet.
- How many people in the world have internet?
Let’s say that based on the latest measurements and calculations, we finally crossed the 8 billion mark a few months ago. A growth that many are starting to consider dangerous. But regardless, if you’ve ever wondered how many internet users there are in the world, the latest estimates suggest that there are around 5.35 billion people using the internet right now.
This roughly corresponds to the 67% of the world’s population who have an internet connection. Obviously, there are citizens who use this connection intermittently, while others spend a large part of the day using online applications and platforms. Just for the sake of curiosity, we will tell you that last year the growth of internet users worldwide was 1.8%, now reaching the above-mentioned figure. This translates to just over 90 million connected people added to the global figure in the past 12 months.
- Which countries use the Internet the most?
As it couldn’t be otherwise, depending on the demographic density of each country and its level of technology, the number of Internet users varies greatly from one country to another. This basically means that if we stop to think about which country in the world has the most connected users at the moment, it’s not hard to imagine.
With just over a billion internet users, China is at the top of this list. Given its population, this isn’t too surprising. What’s more surprising is the difference in the number of people connected to the internet compared to the second-placed country. That’s none other than India, with about 692 million people. As you can see, the difference between the two regions is significant.
From there we find the North American country, the United States, in third place, with just over 300 million Internet users, while Indonesia is in fourth place with 212 million. And fifth place, with just over 180 million connected users, is occupied by Brazil.
In the Arab world, we find Egypt ranked first and 11th globally, and this is natural given its population, which exceeds 100 million people.
