These nations, which include Arab nations, are the talk of the town and could be hit by the asteroid 2024 YR4

There is now a greater than 2% chance that the asteroid 2024 YR4 will strike Earth. NASA and the European Space Agency are already developing procedures and rules to be followed in order to get the planet ready for a potential impact, despite the slim chances.
This massive rock was found on December 27, 2024, and it may strike Earth on December 22, 2032. The International Asteroid Warning Network (IAWN) has concluded that in the event of an impact, the affected areas would be widely dispersed geographically, despite experts' agreement that the likelihood of an impact will decline as calculations improve.
The asteroid 2024 YR4 hazard corridor covers several regions of the planet. The areas most at risk include:
- Eastern Pacific Ocean: Large area. If it collides, it could cause huge tsunamis.
- Northern South America: includes countries such as Colombia, Venezuela, and Ecuador, especially in forest areas and coastal areas.
- Atlantic Ocean: In this case, it can also generate large tsunamis.
- West and Central Africa: Countries such as Cameroon, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Senegal, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo are the most likely to be affected.
- Arabian Sea: Saudi Arabia, Oman, Yemen, and the western coastal areas of India.
- South Asia: India, Pakistan, or Bangladesh.
Currently, 2024 YR4 is being monitored by organizations that carry out their activities on the surface, but by April of this year, this practice will be transferred to the James Webb Space Telescope, due to the inability to track it on Earth.
