Since OpenAI is introducing massive new features for ChatGPT and DeepSeek, the Chinese AI that is upending the industry with its low prices, is on the other side of the globe, it makes sense that Elon Musk would announce the release of Grok 3 AI at this time.
Elon Musk's response was the third version of Grok, an AI chatbot that has been described as "the most intelligent AI on the planet." The businessman even dared to say that Grok 3 is "frighteningly smart" and that it outperforms all its competitors in tests conducted so far.
One of the cool things about Grok 3 is its ability to correct itself. This is important because it avoids the famous “hallucination errors” that other AIs sometimes make. Musk also says that this new version is “always seeking the truth,” even if that truth is uncomfortable or politically incorrect.

Additionally, Grok 3 comes in two flavors, Grok-3 Reasoning and Grok-3 Mini Reasoning, which is reminiscent of the DeepSeek reasoning feature or even ChatGPT or Perplexity.
This is, without a doubt, the new goal that these companies are trying to achieve, and this function basically allows the AI to show how it thinks to reach an answer, something that was not known before and which allows users and developers to know the paths that the AI chooses to give you that specific answer.
To use this AI, you have to pay. Specifically, Grok 3 will first be available to users who pay for X Premium. But to get the most out of all the features, you’ll have to upgrade to what’s called SuperGrok. For $30 a month or $300 a year, you’ll have access to in-depth research or additional reasoning.
