Gmail is changing forever on iPhone. Google’s email management app has just been updated on iOS with a completely new design. Up until now, Gmail for iOS has been one step behind the Android version. Google has decided to change that forever with its new update.
Among the changes in this new version is a complete facelift. In fact, the Gmail app for iPhone now has a design that looks more modern than its Android version. Let’s take a closer look at everything that has changed since this Gmail update for iOS was released.
The changes to Gmail are available with version 6.0.250119. iPhone and iPad users will be able to get this new version and will only need to go to the App Store to be able to update to this new version.
One of the major new features that comes with the new version is the big change in the looks and colors of Gmail. Now, Google's email app is more colorful, and of course, this represents a big improvement on the aesthetic level.
Blue is the color chosen to distinguish Gmail throughout the app, and in fact, the floating button for creating a new email now has a more intense blue hue in dark mode. This change sees Gmail ditch its signature red, which is an interesting change.
Continuing the changes, the bottom area of the app will now feature Google Meet and Google Chat integration if users are using the service. This will allow for faster access to various Google services.
These changes are set to completely transform Gmail’s capabilities on iOS and are Google’s first step in terms of app updates. We’ll have to wait and see what the plans are for the rest of the apps or services.
