Make your computer more professional by adding this feature. To avoid embarrassment, the screen is dimmed when a particular button is pressed

There is a way to turn the screen black and dim it without locking the account or putting Windows to sleep when using a computer, especially a laptop, outside for important work where we do not want strangers to see its details. In this post, we will learn how to create a keyboard shortcut to activate the dimming momentarily.

Download the basic NirCmd tool from NirSoft to extract the tool's executable files to a convenient location. This will allow us to use CMD to perform some helpful tasks in the background without being noticed. Then open this folder and type "cmd" in the address bar to open the command prompt directly inside the tool's folder as shown in the picture

Once the CMD window opens, copy and paste the following command and press Enter.

nircmd.exe cmdshortcutkey "~%folder.desktop%" "TurnOFF Screen" "CTRL+SHIFT+T" monitor off

A new shortcut will appear on the desktop called TurnOFF Screen, which will turn off the computer screen when double-clicked.

The process can be further accelerated by pressing the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + T and the entire screen will be darkened. Once you move the mouse pointer or press any button on the keyboard, it will be activated. This shortcut can be easily modified from the shortcut options.
