Are you sick of Google Photos being cluttered? A new feature to conceal images from WhatsApp and other apps will be available

All of the pictures and GIFs you send are saved in Google Photos if you use different messaging and social networking apps. This can be a major problem.

Thankfully, Google Photos is introducing a new feature that allows you to filter all of the images and GIFs you get from other apps so they do not show up in your gallery right away.

As Android Authority points out, until now, Google Photos has offered customization options to stack similar photos and change the grid layout.

However, they have discovered a new setting called “Show content from other apps,” which will let you hide or show all saved content from third-party apps like WhatsApp, Slack, Messenger, etc.

This means that in the “Show content from other apps” option, you will have other options to control what third-party content appears in the Google Photos network.

For example, if you select the “Hide content from other apps” option, screenshots and GIFs from those third-party apps will be hidden from view.

You can customize further with the “Customize by app” option that will let you decide whether you want to hide all multimedia files from a specific app or show everything by default.

For now, it's seen in an early build of Google Photos, and we'll see when it becomes available in a stable build for everyone.
