With the help of this new program, you can learn in detail why Windows 11 is incompatible with your computer
The most shocking thing on the day the new Windows 11 was presented was the opportunity to download an official program that checks the compatibility of our devices with the new operating system. The majority of users who tested it were unable to upgrade to the new system because it did not meet its minimum requirements.
But what could be causing this incompatibility? Well, the PC Health Check program, which Microsoft has acknowledged has a few flaws, didn’t explain it, and didn’t give any indication of where the problem might lie.
Now we already know that a large portion of these incompatibilities stem from the TPM 2.0 requirement, a requirement that will continue to bring a queue, as well as the presence of Intel processors that are 8th generation or higher.
However, in order to know exactly which of the Windows 11 requirements our computer does not meet, we have a better option than the program launched by Microsoft, WhyNotWin11.
WhyNotWin11 is available for download from its GitHub repository and aims to detail the minimum requirements for Windows 11, noting which ones are available on our computer and which ones are not.
Thus, using the typical color code, the first one in green will show us the requirements that our computer has and the second one in red that do not exist (or yellow, for certain requirements that are still questionable). This will help to conclude if the compatibility problem is solvable only by activating an option in the BIOS or if we can say goodbye to Windows 11 until we buy a new PC.
