What can we expect from Samsung Galaxy Unpacked?
While Samsung focused on "AI for All" at CES, displaying mostly their latest home appliances and the AI integrations in these goods, the firm made no announcements about its flagship line of smartphones, tablets, or other connected mobile devices.
That is exactly what Samsung Galaxy Unpacked is for. Here's what to expect.
Galaxy S25 Series
This is unsurprising given that it is the major event of Samsung's yearly event. Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025 will see the premiere of a new range of Galaxy S smartphones.
Based on past series' naming practices, Samsung is anticipated to introduce its next smartphone trio at the event: the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Some information on the upcoming Galaxy S25 series of phones has already surfaced, so we may expect a similar look to its predecessors, but with rounded corners. The Galaxy S25 and S25+ will be the same size as previous versions, while the Galaxy S25 Ultra will supposedly get a minor upgrade with a 6.9-inch display. According to reports, the S25 Ultra's ultra-wide sensor will be enhanced from 12MP to 50MP.
The most significant update to the Galaxy S25 smartphone series will be its processor: Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite CPU. This CPU was designed to perform generative AI, so we should expect some major AI announcements from Samsung at the event as well.
One UI 7.
Samsung's One UI 7, which is now in development and is based on Android 15, will most likely be made public by the company at Galaxy Unpacked.
The arrival of One UI 7 will provide much-needed updates to Samsung's bespoke interface. Beta users appear to be responding well to One UI 7's improved notification system.
Samsung has touted One UI 7's AI capabilities, referring to it as the "first integrated AI platform."
AI characteristics.
Speaking of AI, we may expect a flood of announcements on AI integration with the Galaxy S25 series and One UI 7.
Rumors of a Samsung "AI agent" have circulated, which would essentially operate as an AI assistant, making personalized recommendations on anything from fashion to transportation.
Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite CPU will undoubtedly bring in a slew of AI capabilities, which Samsung may surprise us with. So, what Samsung will provide in terms of AI and how it does this may surprise Samsung Galaxy lovers.
Galaxy Ring II
Samsung is anticipated to unveil the Galaxy Ring 2 at the event.
The Galaxy Ring 2 may just seem like a teaser at this stage, with no set release date, but the next-generation wearable health device is likely to have a longer battery life than its predecessor.
The new Galaxy Ring 2 is also expected to include an improved sensor for more precise measurements and additional AI capabilities.
AR glasses
Samsung's AR glasses complete the tech product 2025 Bingo card for the occasion. The existence of these Samsung AR glasses has previously been proven, although it is just rumored that they will appear at Galaxy Unpacked.
The AR glasses, presently known as Project Moohan, are being created in collaboration with Google and Qualcomm on the Android XR operating system.
If Samsung's AR glasses do make a debut, it will most likely be as a teaser, similar to the Galaxy Ring 2.
