Unexpected Changes Are Coming to the Windows 11 24H2 Update!
Although Windows 11 24H2 was released in October 2024, the update wasn’t initially mandatory for users. However, this week, Microsoft started automatically forcing users to update to the latest version of the system.
According to the announcement published by Microsoft, the company will begin offering the update automatically to more users, in what it describes as a “new phase in the gradual rollout.”
The update will include users running Windows 11 versions 22H2 and 23H2, whether they are running Home or Pro, and will not affect devices managed by IT departments unless administrators manually update them. Copilot Plus devices will also not be affected as they come pre-configured to run Windows 11 24H2.
However, the latest version of the system did not fix some known issues such as Auto HDR, blue screens of death on ASUS devices, and game hangs, as well as some bugs in audio and apps that use the camera or wallpapers.
As for the AI-based features like Recall and Click To Do, they are still limited to Insider users, and their availability to the rest of the users will not be confirmed until later.
