This website alerts users to the presence of bots on YouTube or Twitch channels

It's a pretty embarrassing thing to use bots to grow your channel’s audience, but unfortunately this happens quite often on the internet. Fortunately, finding out if someone on Twitch or YouTube is using bots is very simple and will take you no more than a minute. You don’t even need to have advanced technical knowledge about bot detection; all you have to do is copy and paste the link to the channel you suspect is using bots.

Although there are many bot detection tools for streaming platforms, the only one that really works and is 100% free is Check-Bots.ru. We will now show you how to use it and everything you need to consider to interpret the results of this tool.

Check-bots.ru is a website dedicated solely to detecting bots on YouTube and Twitch. It is able to check if a streamer or content creator is cheating with fake viewers in real time. How does it do it? The site says that its verification algorithms are constantly updated to detect new scams.

It may give false positives, but in my tests it was fairly accurate at detecting who is using bots and who is not. Try it yourself this way:

Copy the link of the Twitch or YouTube channel that you want to see if it uses bots. It can also be a YouTube video.

Open the Check-bots.ru website.

Select the platform you want to detect bots on: YT Stream, YT Video, Twitch.

- In the “Enter URL” box, paste the link you copied earlier and click “Verify.”

The result will appear below: Cheating (using bots) or No cheating (not using bots).

One thing to clarify here is that even if the result is cheating, it is possible that the user is not actually using bots. This tool detects redirecting viewers from other websites or from the Twitch homepage as "cheating." Basically, Check-bots.ru understands that these viewers did not enter the person’s live stream directly and may not be watching it, as the stream was automatically opened for them when they arrived on the website.

Another important point to make is that to know if someone is using bots, that person must be live on Twitch; otherwise, the check cannot be done in real time (unless it is a YouTube video). By the way, with this tool you can also see the dislikes that any YouTube video has received, something that YouTube itself has not allowed for a long time.
