This feature that everyone will love is being copied by Google Chrome from Microsoft Edge
Although Chrome is the most popular browser on the market, this is not the first time it has been inspired by some functionality found in other competing browsers, and this has just happened with Microsoft Edge.
Now it has been discovered that Google Chrome is testing a new feature directly inspired by one we've been enjoying in Edge for some time now.
We're talking about split tabs, which are now available in Edge and basically let you use two tabs in equal halves within browser windows.
So when you right-click on an inactive tab, the context menu displays the option to split the tab with the active tab.
Google is working on a "split screen" feature for Chrome, this feature will allow you to view two websites in one window, it is still in an early stage of development so it doesn't work yet:https://t.co/9Uc4TqtaPK

Clicking this option will split Chrome windows into two sections with the selected tabs.
This means that you will not need to open another browser window and then manually adjust it to place the two windows side by side, but this is now done directly.
However, the feature is currently in beta and does not appear to be working with beta testers at this time.
The option exists but is currently inactive, so you'll have to wait before it's available in the stable release.
Anyway, if you are one of those people who are committed to maximum productivity, then you will definitely benefit from this new feature in Google Chrome inspired by a feature already present in Microsoft Edge.
