How to Use Google Chrome to Copy the URLs of Every Open Tab

Do you have several tabs open at once and intend to manually copy each web page's URL to save it? Keeping track of all the open tabs seems like a time-consuming task. Fortunately, there is a faster way to do it.

Here we'll explain how you can easily copy URLs for all your tabs to save time and improve your browsing experience. Whether you want to save URLs for later or share them with others, the steps below will show you how to do it.

Chrome offers its users a variety of features, including the ability to copy all URLs in open tabs. To learn how to save them all at once, follow these steps:

Start by opening Google Chrome, and then open the web pages you want to save.

You can use Chrome's bookmark feature to save tabs by bookmarking them, which is a simple process by clicking the star icon in the address bar or pressing Ctrl + D and choosing or creating a folder. You can also rename the bookmark at any time.

With the tabs open, click the three vertical dots menu in the upper-right corner to reveal their context menu. Next, hover over Bookmarks, and then click Bookmark All Tabs from the submenu. Alternatively, you can press Ctrl+Shift+D.

A pop-up menu will appear asking you where you want to save your tabs: an existing folder or a new folder by clicking the New Folder button at the bottom left. It doesn't matter which option you choose. Once you've made your selection, click the Save button.

Now, head to Bookmark Manager by clicking on the three vertical dots menu and hovering over Bookmarks, but this time click on Bookmark Manager. Or press Ctrl + Shift + O to access it faster.

In the Bookmark Manager, open the folder containing the tabs and press Ctrl+A to select all bookmarks. Right-click on any bookmark and click Copy from the context menu.

Finally, open a text editor or Word document. Then, right-click and paste or press Ctrl+V, and the bookmark links will appear as plain text. You can then save the file by clicking File and then Save or Save As in the context menu.

Another way using add-ons

Another way you can do this is by using Chrome extensions that you can install for free from the Chrome Web Store. Here are four extensions you can use:

TabCopy: Quickly copy single or multiple tabs to your clipboard. You can format links using custom templates, including URL, HTML, CSV, and Link.

Copy All Urls: Copy multiple URLs and paste them into your clipboard. However, you can only copy selected tabs.

Copy URLs: Copy all URLs or web pages to your clipboard and choose whether to export the tab or web page from formats including URL, Title, URL, HTML, and Custom.

Copy All URL's 2.0: Copy the URLs of open tabs and paste them in text, HTML, or JSON format into a text editor or Word document.
