Any VPN app you wish to download from Google Play must have this new Google mark; if not, we do not suggest it

Nowadays, using VPN apps is a must for thousands and thousands of users. Their service allows us to break geographical barriers while achieving a level of privacy and anonymity that we cannot get any other way. Because of this popularity, Google wants to impose order in its app store so that we can know which apps we can trust.
Google has decided to put a check mark on VPN apps that offer the best service. But that doesn’t mean that apps without the mark aren’t safe, but those that do will, according to Google, provide a greater commitment to protecting their users.
As you can see in the images accompanying this news, a check mark has been placed next to the star rating, just below the name. This is a quick view feature that lets you know immediately if the app has been verified. Its presence comes alongside other measures already taken by Google, which aim to provide greater confidence to users.
It is important to note that getting verified on any VPN app is not easy. Among other things, Google requires VPN app developers to meet two main requirements. First, they must comply with Google Play Store’s security and safety guidelines, and second, they must pass the MASA (Mobile Application Security Assessment) Level 2 verification process. There are also other requirements, such as having at least 10,000 installs and 250 reviews. On the other hand, the verification mark will not be given to any app that has not been on Google Play for at least 90 days.
Once all the requirements are met, apps will be eligible for the Verified Badge, which, according to Google, ensures that apps with this badge get more visibility in the store. For example, there will be prominent places where apps are displayed, while the checkmark will also be visible when searching.
