Although Microsoft is aware of a bug in the most recent version of Windows 10, they are not in a rush to fix it

In the middle of the month, Microsoft released the latest security updates for Windows 10 and Windows 11, and as usual, they came with a list of known bugs.

Oddly enough, one of these bugs that Microsoft has acknowledged is present in the latest update to Windows 10, but oddly enough, they say we shouldn't worry.

This can be read in the support document, where people from Microsoft commented that those users looking at the Windows Event Viewer might notice an error related to the SgrmBroker executable file.

Anything that is considered a bug in the operating system should be taken into account, but Microsoft wants to convince users that they shouldn't worry about it.

Specifically, they point out that the only way to detect this error is to closely monitor the event viewer. It is also an error that has no impact on performance, functionality, or security whatsoever.

“SgrmBroker refers to the System Guard Runtime Monitoring Agent service. This service was originally created for Microsoft Defender but has not been part of its operations for a long time. Although Windows updates released on January 14, 2025 conflict with the configuration of this service, you should not see any impact on performance or functionality. There has been no change in the security level of the device as a result of this issue. This service has already been disabled in other supported versions of Windows, and SgrmBroker currently has no functionality.

But if you're one of those users who don't want to see any error at all on their operating system, Microsoft says this can be solved by disabling the System Guard monitoring agent service.

However, they say that a future update will fix this issue once and for all.

It's funny that Microsoft has admitted to a bug in Windows 10 and has explicitly stated that this bug is not important enough to fix at this point.
