You can challenge anyone to do so by using this program to stop your computer's files from being recovered with just one click.
When we press the delete button to delete one or more files from our computer, the truth is that these files are not completely deleted. What Windows actually does is remove the reference to these files so that they cannot be reopened, but the truth is that the deleted files remain on the hard disk. This is what makes some programs able to recover these files after deleting them; however, on some occasions we may want to get rid of these files completely. In this post, I will show you how to prevent them from recovering deleted files in Windows.
Keep in mind that files deleted from a hard drive are not completely deleted until you overwrite the same space with another file. Even then, some programs can be used to try to recover them. But to make sure that these spaces on the disk are overwritten, and therefore the files we have deleted can no longer be recovered, we can use a tool like Zerofill.
As its name suggests, it is a tool capable of writing in the unused space on our hard drive. Therefore, all the space where there may have been deleted files that have not been overwritten by other files is overwritten with zeros. So it is one way to make it possible to recover deleted files without having to take up space on the hard drive.
Zerofill is a tool that we can download for free from the link below the post; it is very small in size and can be run without installation. The program works in a command-line environment and is very simple. For example, if we want to replace all spaces in the system unit with zeros, we only need to run the zerofill command followed by the letter of the disk on which we want to prevent the recovery of files, for example, zerofill C: then press ENTER and wait for the process to finish
This process may take more or less time depending on the size of the disk, the written space, and also the performance of the disk itself, but once the process is finished, the deleted files cannot be recovered in any way.
