Using a screen protector on your mobile phone is one of the most effective ways to protect the screen, which is one of the most expensive elements of a smartphone, from scratches and breakage. However, in some cases, a screen protector may affect the operation of the touch panel in some way, making its response less immediate. Sometimes, in addition, it can lead to problems with the operation of the fingerprint reader if it is integrated into the panel itself.
In the case of Samsung mobile phones - but also in other brands - there is the possibility of activating an option that allows to improve the responsiveness and operation of the screen when installing a screen protector. However, many people are unaware of its existence.
The function in question is included in the vast majority of modern Samsung phones. Thanks to it, the sensitivity of the screen is increased so that it responds more effectively when there is a screen protector.
To activate it, simply follow these steps:
- Open “Settings” on your Samsung phone.
- Go to the "Display" section.
- Once there, find the option called “Touch Sensitivity” and activate the switch on the right.
That's it. When you're done, you should notice an improvement in your touchscreen's responsiveness, especially if you were having issues after installing the screen protector.
There may also be a possibility that the screen was already working normally, and therefore you do not notice any difference when you touch it: everything depends on the quality of the screen protector you have installed.
