Tesla is selling its Optimus robot for $40

Tesla has put an articulated model of its Optimus robot up for sale, making it the perfect Christmas gift this year. It's already sold out.

Let’s be honest, Elon Musk’s Optimus robots are pretty much unknown. Tesla has caused a lot of confusion, showing up in time-lapse videos, or using people dressed as robots in some presentations, like its Cybercab demo.

We don't know the current status of Optimus' development or when it will be commercialized. But, if you want, you can now have an Optimus robot at home. More or less.

At the Tesla online store, you can find all kinds of promotional products. From Cybertrucks for kids, to backpacks, bottle openers, and much more.

For Christmas gifts, Tesla has put an articulated model of its Optimus robot on sale for $40. You can see it in the opening image of the story.

This Optimus figure has 40 articulated parts and 20 points of articulation, just like Optimus Gen 2, to mimic his real-life movements.

The doll is 18.2cm high and 5.5cm wide, and weighs just 48g. As a curious note, it is equipped with a miniature charging station. It is a representation of what the original robot would carry, it is made of plastic, and does not contain a battery.
