How to pin a specific folder to the taskbar for easy access
The taskbar in Windows is a very important element as it allows you to place icons for the most used programs and folders, which allows access to them with the click of a button, which saves a lot of time, but in Windows 11, folders and files cannot be added to this bar as it is only dedicated to programs, so in this post we will learn about a trick that will enable you to do this simply without using any external programs.
Go to the path of the folder or file that you want to pin to the taskbar and then create a shortcut for it on the desktop. By standing on the file and then pressing the right button and choosing "Send to" and choosing "Desktop (Create Shortcut)". As in the picture
Now right click on the shortcut that was just created and from the menu choose "Properties", and in the Target field add the word "explorer" with a space before the file path as in the picture then click "Apply"
But the shortcut icon will be similar to the File Explorer icon, so it is better to change the icon icon from the "Change Icon" button.
Now when you drag and drop the shortcut to the taskbar in Windows 11 it will be pinned.
Or you can right-click on the shortcut and choose "Show more options" then select the "Pin to taskbar" option to pin the shortcut to the taskbar directly.
