As you well know, Microsoft has set very tough requirements to be able to install Windows 11. Moreover, to enjoy the “benefits” of Copilot, a processor with specific NPU cores for AI is required. Well, if for some reason you do not meet the requirements to install Windows 11 24H2 or it is not yet available, thanks to the Flyby11 open source script, you can install this update.

But this update is a bit unusual, as it has restrictions that prevent certain devices from downloading and installing it. Microsoft has been restricting installations or direct updates to incompatible devices since the beginning. Now, 24H2 is implementing additional measures to prevent it from being installed on very old devices.

Specifically, it affects systems with processors that do not support SSE4.2 instructions.

Microsoft's OS update brings several interesting elements. The first is the arrival of the "sudo" command to Windows. Additionally, it adds support for Wi-Fi 7, which if you don't have a motherboard compatible with this standard, still doesn't give you much. Finally, Copilot, the much-talked-about and controversial AI assistant, is introduced.

Flyby11 is an open source script that allows us to install Windows 11 24H2 without major problems despite being an unsupported device. This tool is intended for upgrades, not for new installations.

This tool includes all the “working methods to bypass restrictions” on unsupported devices. It is a very well working tool and does not contain any malicious code at all.

It offers us two mechanisms to install the update. The first is to update through the server configuration. The second option is through registry modifications. Both methods should, in principle, allow us to update without major problems.

- The first step, of course, is to download Flyby11, which we can easily do from the GitHub repository itself. We leave you a direct link below.

We are talking about a fairly light compressed file that should take a few seconds to download. Once it is downloaded, of course, we must unzip it, so we can do this in the same download folder.

After downloading and unzipping the file, we must execute it. Since it lacks the Microsoft signature, the message "Windows is protecting your PC" will appear, which is normal. We simply have to click on "More information" and then "Run anyway". Finally, we confirm the security message by pressing the "Yes" button.

We can start by choosing the first method that appears on the screen. We should also check the “Fido” script option that appears below, as we will need to download the Windows 11 24H2 ISO from Microsoft’s website. Once downloaded, all we have to do is click on the “Mount and Run ISO” option.

We have to follow the instructions that will appear on the screen. If this first option does not work, we will use the second method, which is through registry modifications.
