Very soon this month, Outlook will work without the Internet

We are used to the fact that all our favorite apps only work with an internet connection, and if the network goes down, we cannot use them.

This is very important when it comes to productivity in Windows, because if you experience any internet downtime, it can cause a huge delay in your entire work.

Currently, internet access is required to access an email client, but with the new Outlook for Windows, things will change.

We already announced a few weeks ago that Microsoft is preparing to bring the new Outlook for Windows with a feature that will allow it to work, in certain cases, even without an Internet connection.

It has been expected for weeks, and has yet to arrive, but Microsoft has reassured us by indicating that it is supposed to be available this month.

In the latest update to the Microsoft 365 roadmap, offline functionality in Outlook for Windows is coming very soon.

This release introduces the ability to open or restart the new Outlook for Windows when you are not connected to the Internet. Previously, an Internet connection was required to open or restart the new Outlook. Offline access is only supported when the application is already running and then disconnected. With this release, the ability to open and restart the application without an Internet connection will be added.

Specifically, the offline feature for Outlook for Windows will start rolling out this October, but since it's a gradual rollout, it may reach some users later.

With this, if we lose internet connection for a moment, calendar events and contacts, as well as email, will be stored on the device, so you can see and read them, even when you are not connected.

This is one of those features that will get us out of some trouble if at some point we happen to be offline and have to read an email that has already arrived in our inbox.
