Run any application on your mobile phone in a floating bubble. A new feature in the upcoming Android 16

While there are only a few days left until the arrival of the first stable version of Android 15, which will reach Google Pixel phones on October 15, the first rumors about Android 16 have already begun to reach us, the version of Android that will be launched perhaps in the second quarter of 2025 and whose name is already known, the dessert that will be called "Baklava".

Little by little, we're learning about some of the new features that will arrive with Android 16, and in fact, a leak has just revealed one of the most notable ones, as the next version of Android will allow you to run any app on your mobile phone in a floating bubble.

Android expert Mishaal Rahman published a report on the specialized media website Android Authority , in which he explained that he discovered in the second beta version of the first quarterly update for Android 15, several references to a function called “bubble anything,” which allows you to put any smartphone application in a floating bubble.

Once you activate this feature on your Google Pixel, the launcher adds a new button to the context menu called “bubble” that appears when you long-press on any app on the device’s home screen.

Thus, as you can see in the screenshots we leave you above, when you press the above-mentioned button, the selected application opens in a floating bubble so that you can use it while you are doing other tasks.

Similarly, Rahman also shared a video on the Android Authority channel , which you can see below, in which he demonstrates how this new feature works on the tablet, confirming that you will also be able to group multiple apps into a single floating bubble.

Although we still don't know when this feature will be available to users, it is likely that the big Google company will introduce it with Android 16, which is the future version of the operating system for mobile phones and tablets from Google.
