Quetta A new browser for Android phones so that they do not spy on you
With the variety of web browsers we can choose to use on our mobile devices, a new privacy-focused browser called Quetta has recently joined the party, and it is currently available for Android devices, although this year they promise to launch a version of Quetta for iOS devices.
Quetta Browser, like many other browsers out there, is based on Chromium, and unlike most, it is one of the few mobile web browsers that accepts the use of extensions.
To comply, it integrates a series of privacy functions and smart utilities, highlighting the Data Vault, which allows data such as bookmarks, download history, and more to be protected through the use of biometric verification.
Another function, that the browser is the only one that integrates the private downloads function, is the script control function, which allows you to disable the execution of JavaScript commands across the web or on specific sites.
These features are in addition to other features like preventing tracking, forcing the use of https connections over the web, and more. It also has features to download videos, play audio in the background, save content as PDF, and more.
To avoid problems with Google, some functions such as downloading videos or playing audio in the background do not work with Google services. This allows it to meet the requirements to be available for download through the Google Play Store.
In short, it is a completely unknown web browser but over time it will have its own community of enthusiasts who will use it daily, and even more so when it becomes available on other devices, as in addition to the main mobile platforms its developers also have a roadmap to make it available on Windows and Mac desktop systems.
