POCO will shut down its website and official apps.. What will happen to your phone?
If you’ve recently opened POCO’s official website, or app, you’ve probably noticed an important notification: a message that literally says “POCO Sites Shutdown Notice.” This has created some panic among fans of the brand, who were looking forward to receiving support through the manufacturer’s website and app.
Does this mean that POCO will disappear? The truth is that no, they will not disappear. So what does this mean? We tell you what will happen with the official POCO website and also with its application.
Through a statement posted on POCO's website, Xiaomi informed that they are reorganizing to be able to provide better service to their users and a more unified experience for their brands.
Until now, POCO’s website and mobile app operated independently from Xiaomi and Redmi’s websites (which were both). This somewhat limited the purchases, support, and other experiences for users, as they had to switch between platforms, as needed. Xiaomi noticed the problem with this and took action on the issue. What did they do? Let’s summarize it in a few points:
- Move all POCO product pages, personal center, reviews, customer service, after-sales and other pages from po.co/es/ to www.mi.com/.
- Move all POCO Store functions and tools inside Mi Store app.
And the dates? According to Xiaomi, things will happen as follows (both for the app and the website):
- POCO website sales will stop starting October 21, 2024, so you will not be able to place new orders.
- Full data will be migrated from POCO website to Xiaomi website between October 21 and December 12, 2024.
- Starting December 12, 2024, all POCO products will be available for sale on the website www.mi.com.
Starting December 12, 2024, product reviews, customer service, personal center, and more will be available.
- On October 31, 2024, POCO websites will be shut down.
