Motorola announces its ThinkPhone 25 smartphone
Motorola has announced its ThinkPhone 25, a productivity-focused smartphone aimed at business consumers, following the company's launch of the first ThinkPhone last year.
The ThinkPhone 25 retains the same aesthetic and corporate focus as the ThinkPhone, though it comes with updated specs that are very similar to the Motorola Edge 50 Neo.
The ThinkPhone 25 offers deep integration with Lenovo PCs and Motorola tablets, including automatic syncing, shared keyboard and mouse, centralized notifications, and the ability to use the phone's main camera as a webcam.
Motorola offers B2B customers Moto Device Manager, which gives IT departments the ability to remotely manage devices.
Motorola promises five years of Android OS updates and security updates through 2029. The enterprise advantage extends to malware and phishing detection and additional wireless network security.
The ThinkPhone 25 comes with an IP-68 rating and MIL-STD 810H certification, and features an under-display fingerprint reader, face unlock, ThinkShield management solutions, and ThinkShield Security solutions.
It features a 6.36-inch pOLED display with a resolution of 2670 x 1220 pixels, a density of 460 pixels per inch, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and Gorilla Glass 7i protection.
The display features SGS Blue Light Reduction and Motion Blur Reduction certification, with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits.
The Motorola device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of uMCP internal storage.
There is a triple rear camera, with a 50MP primary lens with Sony's LYTIA 700C sensor, optical image stabilization, and an f/1.8 aperture, a 10MP telephoto lens with an f/2.0 aperture, and a 13MP ultrawide lens with an f/2.2 aperture and a 120-degree field of view. There is also a 32MP front camera with an f/2.4 aperture.
The device is powered by a 4310mAh battery that supports 68W fast wired charging and 15W fast wireless charging.
Other notable features include Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, dual speakers with Dolby Atmos, and WiFi 6E wireless networking standard.
Motorola is launching the ThinkPhone 25 for €500 and it should be available by November.
