iPhone 16 crashes and restarts on its own, and Apple is unable to find a solution
iPhone 16 users are facing a series of unexpected problems. After reports of poor battery life after updating to the latest iOS 18, the user community is now reporting a bug related to screen freezing and random reboots.
As you can read on Reddit and also on the official Apple support forums, there is a bug in some iPhone 16 models, specifically some Pro models, which is random reboots and also unexpected screen freezes.
These reports with these failures are not entirely new, users have been reporting them since the phones launched in September and Apple still doesn't know how to fix them.
However, the iOS 18.1 update does not fix the bug, and users are still facing an issue where the iPhone 16 screen freezes first, and after a few seconds it restarts.
This issue appears randomly several times a day, and only seems to affect the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max.
Many users have taken their iPhone 16 to the store where they bought it and had it replaced, but they are facing these errors again which seem to be related to iCloud.
In some cases, doing a fresh install and not reinstalling from iCloud backup seems to fix the issue, so it may be related to this service in question.
However, it's been a month since the first affected people reported and Apple still doesn't know how to fix the issue.
