Huawei officially unveils Nova 13 phones
Huawei has announced the launch of its new Nova 13 and Nova 13 Pro smartphones in the Chinese market, with a new design and improvements to the camera and operating system.
The Nova 13 comes with a 6.7-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1084 x 2412 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and an in-screen fingerprint sensor.
The phone has a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.9 aperture, an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera, and a 60-megapixel front camera with an f/2.4 aperture.
The other version, the Nova 13 Pro, comes with a 6.76-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1224 x 2776 pixels, and features LTPO technology that supports an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, and a fingerprint sensor built into the screen, noting that the phone is water and dust resistant with an IP65 standard.
The nova 13 Pro features a 50MP primary rear camera with a variable aperture ranging from f/1.4 to f/4.0, a 12MP 3x telephoto camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 60MP front camera.
Both phones have a 5000 mAh battery that supports 100W fast charging, which can be charged up to 50% in just 10 minutes.
Both phones run on HarmonyOS 4.2, with multiple storage options starting from 256GB to 1TB, and Huawei offers a number of AI features such as text enhancement, removing unwanted elements in images, providing personalized advice and tips, and more.
Huawei offers the Nova 13 in China starting at around $380, while the Nova 13 Pro starts at around $520.
Huawei has not yet revealed details of the processor in these phones, nor has it set a date for their launch in global markets.
