How to Insert YouTube Videos into Word Documents

There is no doubt that YouTube is the best and most popular video sharing platform. It is not only for marketing and commercial purposes, but it is also a great educational platform. We can rely on it to explain some detailed explanations to show others how to use something or how to solve some problems.

Fortunately, you can embed YouTube videos into your Word documents and send them to anyone who has an internet connection and they will be able to see all of these videos. It will be as if they are actually on YouTube. Just like you have embedded a video on your website or blog. Now, let’s show you how to do it in detail.

Just click on the Insert tab from the top left of the toolbar in your Word document first, then click on Online Video from the Media section. A new window will appear asking you to insert the YouTube link you want. Just copy the video link from your browser bar and paste it into the Insert window that appears in front of you.

Immediately you will notice the thumbnail of the video appearing as if you were on YouTube exactly before you clicked play.

But it's better to organize how it displays in your document. Just click on the video and press Ctrl+E to center the video. You can also of course adjust the size of the video by long-clicking on any edge of the video frame and dragging it left or right to adjust its display size to your liking.

Note that you can edit the video style, meaning you can right-click on the video and then click Style to choose a different display style from the many available styles. That's all there is to embedding YouTube videos in Word documents.

Once the reader has an internet connection and clicks on the play video button, the video will appear in the foreground and the document in the background as if you were watching a video on social media platforms like Twitter.
