How to get the future Google Chrome with the address bar at the bottom of the browser

Google Chrome has always included the address bar at the top, although a few years ago the browser included a popular experiment to move it to the bottom.

It seems that Google has finally responded to one of the biggest requests from Google Chrome users: to lower the navigation bar, as is the case in other web browsers. This location at the bottom of the browser usually allows us to reach the main buttons more easily when using the phone with one hand.

If you want to cut down the address bar, we have good news, as it is currently available in Chrome Canary. This is the latest version of Chrome, with new features that will reach Chrome stable users in the future.

The truth is that Chrome Canary is not as unstable as its name suggests and you can use it normally without any problems. Chrome Canary syncs all your data with your Google account and you can use it alongside the stable version of Chrome. To use the bottom navigation bar all you have to do is download it from Google Chrome:

Chrome Canary

After installing Chrome Canary, open the app and complete the initial configuration where you'll be asked if you want to sync your data, as well as grant the appropriate permissions. When you're done, it's time to activate the Chrome flag that will allow you to change the location of the taskbar:

- In the address bar of the browser on the mobile phone, enter chrome://flags

- In a search engine type android-bottom-toolbar#

- Change it to Enabled.

- Click on restart.

After restarting Chrome, the active Chrome tab adds a new menu to Google Chrome settings called Address Bar. Inside you will find only two options: Top or Bottom. Choose the second option to move the address bar to the bottom.

Another way you can change the site's address bar is to long-click on the bar, which opens a context menu that allows you to move it up or down, in the opposite direction to where it is at that moment.
