How to Enable Dark Mode for Windows 10

Windows 10 has many great features that can be modified and customized according to the user's desire. Among all the features, the Dark Mode feature is at the top of the list of the best and most important features that can be activated. Naturally, the Dark Mode feature helps to relax the eyes and get rid of the fatigue and stress that they suffer from due to bright white lighting.

Fortunately, you will find that there are many desktop applications that automatically switch to dark mode as well once you enable the feature from within Windows 10 , but certainly not all programs are capable of this new mode, so you may have to adjust them from within their own settings, such as the Facebook, WhatsApp or Twitter application, but there are some applications that do not receive this support from their developers, so there is no way to activate dark mode with them.

With Dark Mode enabled from Windows Settings, all folders and windows will turn dark. Open Settings by typing Settings in the taskbar, then choose the Personalization tab and choose Colors from the Settings menu on the left. After scrolling down, you will find the command "Choose your default windows mode" and the second "Choose your default app mode", click on both of them and make sure Dark Mode is enabled.

You will find that Google Chrome, Firefox, or Microsoft Edge have also turned dark. You will also find that YouTube has become dark. Unfortunately, this does not apply to Microsoft Office 365.

To enable dark mode with Office, go to Settings from Word or Excel and click on File from the top left, then choose Options, then from the General window you will find Office Theme in the middle of the page and choose the appropriate color you prefer. Choose Black or Dark Gray if you want to activate dark mode. If you want to activate dark mode on social media sites, you will need to do so from within your settings, and you will need to do so on all your other devices, whether laptop or phone.
