How to Download Latest Windows 10 ISO File from Microsoft

Semi-annually - every 6 months - Microsoft releases a major update to Windows 10 users. This update is different from cumulative updates in that it adds performance improvements, new features, and enhanced security and ease of use.

Usually, once the company makes the new version of Windows 10 available, all devices will download the new update and upgrade automatically without user intervention through the Windows Update service integrated into the system and responsible for receiving, downloading and installing new Windows updates.

In the event that the service is down for any reason, users can download the Update Assistant tool to help upgrade to the latest version of Windows 10. However, perhaps the method that many prefer is to download the ISO file of the latest version of Windows 10 so that a clean installation of the version can be done on the device and thus Windows 10 is installed with the latest available update instead of upgrading from an old version to a new one. Fortunately, Microsoft provides two ways to do this, which we will review for you starting from the following lines.

Method 1: Use the Media Creation Tool

Use Media Creation Tool to download the latest version of Windows 10

Microsoft provides an official tool called Media Creation Tool that helps Windows 10 users upgrade to the latest available version easily, in addition to allowing the possibility of downloading the latest version and burning Windows to a USB flash drive or burning Windows to a DVD/CD or obtaining the ISO file and keeping it and burning it with any external program you prefer, provided that the download is through the tool directly; that is, you will not be able to pause/resume the download - rather, the computer must remain running throughout the download process, which takes a long time depending on the internet speed because the ISO file is usually larger than 4 GB in size. In general, you can download the tool for free from the official website  after clicking the Download tool now button.

The MediaCreationTool1809.exe file will be downloaded to your device, after the download is complete, run the file immediately to display a window containing the license terms, then click on the Accept button. Now you will be presented with two options: Upgrade this PC now and Create installation media for another PC. Select the first if you want to perform a direct upgrade from the current version to the new version while keeping your files and settings as they are. But since you want to download the ISO file of the latest version, select the second option and click Next to continue.

Now you will see 3 boxes through which you can select the version properties. Starting from the Language box, you will select the language of the Windows 10 version you want to get. You will find all languages in the list, whether Arabic, French, Portuguese, etc. Select the language, then in the Edition box, select Windows 10, which means that you will get a combined version that contains Home, Pro, Enterprise, and Education, and you can choose any of them during installation.

After that, select the architecture according to the processor capabilities, so you choose 32-bit or 64-bit or both. After finishing, click the Next button to continue.

In this step, the tool will ask you to select the method of obtaining the copy, whether via a USB flash drive, so you select the USB flash drive and then select the flash drive currently connected to the device, which must be at least 8 GB in size, or via an ISO file, which is what you will select now and click Next until it asks you to select where to save the file on the hard disk , after that the download process will start directly. When the download process is complete, you can burn the copy to a DVD or flash drive using an external burning program such as Rufus.

Second method: Download the ISO file directly from Microsoft's website

Download the ISO file directly from Microsoft's website

Suppose you do not want to use the Media Creation Tool because you cannot control the download speed, or pause and resume the download, then you want to download the latest ISO version of Windows using an external download program, such as Internet Download Manager, provided that the method remains official and from Microsoft.

You can actually do this, all you have to do is open Microsoft's Software Download website via Microsoft Edge browser, then choose Windows 10. You will see a screen to download the Update Assistant and Media Creation Tool tools that help you upgrade your current version of Windows to a newer version, but there are simple steps if you do them the site will offer you to download a copy of Windows in ISO format .

In Microsoft Edge and on this page, press the F12 key on your keyboard. This will display the Inspect Element panel below. From this panel, go to the “Emulation” tab, then click on the User agent string menu and choose (Apple Safari (iPad). You will notice that the page has been refreshed and the site is made to look like you are browsing it on an Apple device using Safari.

Note that if you close the Inspect Element panel, the page will return to its normal state; so it should remain visible on the screen and then scroll down to select Windows 10 from the Select edition list until the combined version that includes Pro, Home and Enterprise is loaded. After finishing, press the Confirm button and then select the language of the version, taking into account that the Arabic language is available and present in the list, you can easily select it and press Confirm to move to the third and final step.

In the Downloads section you will find direct links to download the latest version of Windows in the same selected language. Depending on the type of processor you have, you can click on the 32-bit download button or the 64-bit download button. Once you click on the link, you will select the download location and click Download either through the built-in download manager in the browser or through an external download program. This way you will get an ISO copy that you can burn to a flash drive or CD without any problems, as it is an official copy from Microsoft.
