What will Windows 12 look like? Watch a new video that imagines the next version of Windows
Microsoft is waging a campaign against users to try to convince them to abandon Windows 10 and move to Windows 11.
All the efforts made by Microsoft in this regard do not yield anything positive, since even the latest data from Statcounter shows that Windows 10 is gaining market share over Windows 11 .
However, on October 14, 2025, support for Windows 10 will end, leaving millions of devices around the world vulnerable to cybercriminals.
Although Windows 11 has not yet reached half of the world's Windows PCs , the fact is that Microsoft is already working on its successor.
We've talked from time to time about some rumor or feature that might eventually make it to Windows 12, an operating system that could be announced once Windows 10 support ends.
As Microsoft prepares to announce Windows 12 , a designer named Nepnus has shared a video on YouTube that imagines what Windows 12 could look like .
It has basically opted for a new design language and a more refined user experience. It features a central taskbar with rounded corners.
The new name for Windows AI appears, as all of the AI efforts of Windows 11 and Windows 12, such as Windows Recall, can be included.
The video also shows a floating house and a search bar at the top. The focused and more functional start menu also stands out.
This user-imagined concept also includes floating UI elements and a revamped Settings app.
We'll see if Microsoft takes some examples from this video for its future Windows 12 virtual machine.
