You don't pay the same for 1GB of data in Canada as you do in Morocco, each country has its own prices, operators, infrastructure... and each variable affects the final price the consumer pays.

We’re talking about 1GB of mobile data here, no fibre optics, so we have an interactive map that shows the information in a simple way.
This information is available on cable.co.uk , where it shows some amazing facts, like the cost of internet in Canada, for example.

Countries are colour coded based on the average price of a gigabyte (1GB) of mobile data. So we see how mobile data is cheapest in and around the former Soviet Union, and some of the most expensive in North America, Africa and Western Europe.

Hovering over an individual country with your mouse will reveal the associated data. This includes the country name, its ranking out of 228 countries measured, the cheapest 1GB of data available, the most expensive 1GB of data…

Some countries lack data, as many countries only have 2G infrastructure, provide only calls and/or SMS, or simply no data is available. There are countries and territories where currency issues do not allow for a useful comparison.

These excluded countries and territories are: Cook Islands, Christmas Island, Eritrea, North Korea, Marshall Islands, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, South Sudan, Tuvalu, Wallis and Futuna, Congo (Democratic Republic of), Vatican City (Holy See), Venezuela and Zimbabwe. The reasons for the exclusion of each of these countries can be found in the second tab of the downloadable data, on the map page.
