Everything you can do with F keys the magic key that will make you use the browser professionally
When we sit in front of the computer and launch an important program like Google Chrome, we try to be as productive as possible. With this, we want to use the browser more fluently and navigate the Internet faster.
And since it couldn't be otherwise, the developer of the application itself offers us everything we need to browse pages faster. It uses the internal technologies of its rendering engine to offer us the best experience. We also find many configurable functions and parameters that allow us to adapt the operation of Chrome to our needs.
But here it is also important to use our creativity and knowledge to achieve better results. This will allow us to be more productive and faster in using this very popular program, as we will see below. We must keep in mind that we are facing one of the most used browsers in the world, so knowing its tricks will never hurt.
We will then show you how to make the most of the function keys in Google Chrome. We are referring to the F keys that we usually find at the top of the keyboards. Depending on the program we are in, or if we are working directly with the operating system, these keys will have one function or another.
When we move from Chrome, the function keys provide us with a series of shortcuts that will be very useful to us. This is exactly what we will focus on now so that you get used to using them and gain speed in the browser.
- F1 : Simply press this key to directly access Google Support Center in case you encounter any issues with Chrome.
- F3 : Thanks to this function key, we will have the opportunity to open the search box directly so that it appears at the top of the screen.
- CTRL + F4 : By clicking on this function key combination, we close the currently active tab. If we repeat the command, we will close all the tabs we have opened one by one.
-Alt + F4 : With this option we close the browser completely. Very useful for closing many tabs at once, or in case the browser crashes.
- F5 : Once we use this key, we refresh the website we have on the screen at that moment, also known as the refresh key.
- Shift + F5 : This is a keyboard shortcut similar to the previous one, but what we're doing is forcing the website to refresh, empty the cache, and load everything from scratch.
- F6 : This key will not be very useful to avoid using the mouse because it changes the focus between different sections of the browser window. Keep pressing it.
- F7 : Activate text cursor navigation. If we activate it, we can return to normal navigation mode by pressing this key again.
- F11 : If what we need is to use Google Chrome in full screen mode, just use this key. To return it to the normal screen, we press it again.
- F12 : This will be very useful for us to access the browser developer window. This is a tool especially suitable for advanced users or content and website creators.
