All keyboard shortcuts on Google Chrome
Imagine that you are feeling a little sleepy or tired and you are leaning back in your chair in a state of relaxation before bed and browsing your favorite sites on Google Chrome and you find yourself in urgent need to use the mouse, wouldn’t it be better if there was a shortcut on the keyboard that would allow you to perform the tasks you want? Yes, this would certainly be much better than leaning back in your chair and dragging the mouse and continuing to click on this and that. In the simplest scenarios, you can give your wrist and palm a little rest from the fatigue and exhaustion resulting from fixing them on the desktop.
Of course, you can’t completely replace your mouse, but at least in some cases you’ll find that it’s much better to just tap a set of keys to perform different functions. Yes, it’ll be hard to memorize and remember all the shortcuts, but you can keep a simple set of the ones you need most often and use on a regular basis. After a while, you can come back to this article again and look for a new set of shortcuts.
If neither of these are for you, you can simply bookmark this article to come back to it later when you want. Now, if you are convinced of the usefulness of keyboard shortcuts on one of the most popular applications and internet browsers ever, then you are in the right place… Let’s get to know all the keyboard shortcuts on Google Chrome.
First shortcut: Ctrl + T | Open new tab
When it comes to the time, effort, or at least the workspace that a shortcut will save you, make sure it counts for miles. Instead of dragging your mouse, searching for the cursor, and clicking to open a new tab, you can simply hit the Ctrl + T shortcut on your keyboard to open a new tab. If you want to open a new window, you can use the Ctrl + N shortcut instead. If you want to open a window in incognito mode, you can hit Ctrl + Shift + N. But in the end, the Ctrl + T shortcut will save you even more effort than just opening a new tab.
Second shortcut: Ctrl + W | Close the currently open tab
Have you finished with the tab open in front of you and want to close it quickly? Just click the Ctrl + W shortcut on your keyboard. This shortcut is useful in many other situations. For example, if you have a large group of tabs open in front of you and you are afraid of closing some important tabs by mistake due to continuous clicking on the mouse button, this shortcut will protect you from this unintended mistake.
Shortcut 3: Ctrl + Shift + T | Open the last tab that was just closed
Have you ever been browsing an important window and suddenly you accidentally closed it and want to open it again? Yes, you can use your mouse and search for History to open it again. But why all the trouble? Just use the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + T to open the last tab you just closed. This shortcut will be a real lifesaver in many cases, so always remember it.
Shortcut 4: Ctrl + Shift + A | Open a full list of recently opened tabs
Please always remember this shortcut because it will save you a lot of effort and fatigue. Just press the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + A on your keyboard to display a drop-down list of all the recently opened tabs on Google Chrome. This shortcut can be a bigger lifesaver than the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + T which opens the last tab that was open a while ago. Instead of a single tab, you can search through a long list of recently opened tabs and navigate through them and choose the one you want precisely.
Shortcut 5: F5 | Reload and refresh the page again
Just one key at the top of your keyboard, F5, will help you bypass and overcome many problems.
