Add a button to your Android phone to discover new songs
Google just rolled out a feature for Android that you’re sure to love. It’s a button for the Control Center (the quick settings menu you see when you pull down the notification bar) that lets you quickly and easily identify the name of a song.
This is the song search button that comes with the new update of the Google app (version 15.39). This app, which comes by default on all Android phones, you certainly already have it, even if you don't know it. Well, below we will tell you how to put the song search button on your Android device.
If you have already updated the Google app to version 15.39, simply follow these steps to put the song search button on your Android mobile phone :
- Pull down the notification bar on your mobile phone to open the Control Center.
Scroll until you find the (+) button/"Edit" button and press it (the button varies depending on each mobile phone brand).
- Add the search button for songs, hold it down and place it in your preferred position and that's it.
Now you will have it in your control center to quickly tap when you want to know the name of the song.

If you followed the above steps and the search button for songs did not appear, do not worry. At the moment, this is a beta feature for the Google app update 15.39. It is likely to be released to all users soon.
However, you can access this beta update simply by following these steps:
- Open Google Play Store and search for Google app.
- Scroll down until you find the Join Beta Program window. Here you need to click on “Join” to register for the program.
- Wait a few minutes for it to tell you that you are already part of the program. Finally, the new update (version 15.39) will appear. Press the update button and that's it, now you should have a song search button.
