6 Different Ways to Run Task Manager in Windows 10
Task Manager is a great tool that helps you manage the way applications, processes and services work on your Windows computer (whether 7, 8, 8.1 or 10), monitor the performance of the device components while it is running, and allow you to forcefully close programs if you cannot close them in the normal way, or prevent them from running when the computer starts up.
But before you can work with Task Manager and see which processes are currently running, you must first know how to open this tool.
There are really many ways to do this, and let me tell you, it is good to know all these different ways so that if you cannot open the tool the way you are used to, you can open it through another method. So in this topic, we present to you 6 different ways to access the Task Manager in Windows.
The first method: - Through the taskbar
Below, we'll go over a few keyboard-based methods, but if you prefer to use your mouse to do most of your computer work, one of the quickest ways to bring up the Task Manager window is to right-click on any empty space on the taskbar. A menu will appear that includes options to customize the taskbar, as well as the "Task Manager" option, as shown in the image above.

The second method: - Through the keyboard shortcut
If you prefer to use the keyboard, or let's say you're typing some text and want to open the Task Manager to check something, you can do that by pressing Ctrl + Shift + Esc at the same time, and the Task Manager window will immediately appear in front of you.
Note that this shortcut opens the task manager window for the programs. For example, if you use this shortcut within the Chrome browser, the task manager window will appear, allowing you to control the services related to the browser.

The third method: - Through the Windows Security screen
Perhaps the most famous keyboard shortcut for Windows users, yes.. Ctrl + Alt + Del is the shortcut we mean here. Previously in Windows Vista, this shortcut would directly launch the Task Manager tool (just like the previous Ctrl + Shift + Esc shortcut)
But in later versions, this shortcut now leads to the Windows Security Screen, which provides options to lock the device, switch users, sign out, or launch the Task Manager tool, which is what is required.

Fourth method: Quick options menu
Both Windows 8 and 10 have a menu called WinX which includes a set of useful shortcuts that can be accessed quickly rather than having to go through many steps.
As you might have guessed, one of these shortcuts is to open the Task Manager tool. All you have to do is press the Win key + the letter X key and then press the letter T or select the “Task Manager” option from the menu to open the window directly.

The fifth method: - Through the Run window
The file responsible for running the Task Manager tool in Windows is called "taskmgr" and since it is one of the built-in system tools, you can run it by typing the file name in the search field on the taskbar if you are using Windows 10, or by typing it in the Run window (you can open it by clicking the Win key + the letter R key together) and then press the Enter key to immediately bring up the Task Manager window.

The sixth method: - Through the File Explorer tool
You can also open the Task Manager tool by accessing the main run file through File Explorer in Windows.
This is definitely the longest way to open the tool, but we are listing it anyway so you are aware of all the ways to run Task Manager. So first you will need to open File Explorer, then open the (C:) partition where Windows is installed, then open the Windows folder, then open the System32 folder and there scroll until you find the “Taskmgr” file and double-click on it to launch the tool.
