If you've been complaining that your Windows 11 laptop has improved battery life, but it's worse than it was when you were using Windows 10, Microsoft has come up with a solution.

As part of Windows  11 build 26100.1876 (KB5043178)  , which is currently in preview and will soon reach the stable release, a series of new features have been integrated.

Specifically, there's a new power recommendation to disable high dynamic range on devices with HDR displays.

Additionally, when your device's battery is low, a pop-up window will appear asking you to plug it in when Power Saver is set to "Always On" and the battery level reaches 20%.

In addition to these features that will increase the battery life of your  Windows  11 laptop, other changes have been included such as a new sign out option in the Start menu.

This initial OS update also lets you share local files directly from search results in the taskbar.

The update includes bug fixes such as an issue that caused the "Scan now" button in Windows Security to stop working.

They have also improved and fixed the performance of the Windows Search indexer in the background.

They have provided a fix for a bug where the mouse cursor would flash when hovering over the taskbar.

They also comment that in this preview release they have improved the touchpad experience when scrolling and zooming in Microsoft Edge.
