Flash settings can be adjusted after updating to iOS 18 by long-pressing the flash button in the Camera app. This will bring up several options: Auto, On, and Off, and you can choose what suits you best. These settings will help you control the flash light easily while shooting.

3- Keep music playing when taking photos and recording videos:

In previous versions of iOS, using the Camera app to record a video would automatically turn off any audio playing on the phone.

But in iOS 18, things will be different. When you start recording a video, the music you are listening to on your iPhone will not pause and will continue playing.

This feature is not automatically enabled, and to activate it, you have to go to the Settings app, then the Camera section, and there you will find a new option called (Allow Audio Playback) that you can activate to ensure that the music continues to play while recording a video clip.

4- Improvements in the profile picture mode:

On the iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 , ‌iOS 18‌ adds portrait lighting controls and support for Night mode when taking portrait photos in Portrait mode.

Additionally, you’ll be able to access the Portrait effect when taking selfies using the regular shooting mode, as the camera app is now able to detect portraits when shooting in the regular shooting mode. This new feature allows you to take a selfie without having to change shooting modes.
