Versys and Analog Announce Smart Cities Project in Abu Dhabi

VERSES , a cognitive computing company specializing in next-generation intelligent systems, has announced the first in a series of joint smart city projects with Analog, an edge computing company focused on seamlessly connecting people, places and things using intelligent sensors and mixed reality devices.

This project aims to simulate the management of the taxi fleet in Abu Dhabi , to reduce congestion and emissions by employing the Genius platform , which relies on artificial intelligence to analyze big data and make smart decisions to improve taxi fleet operations.

Project objectives:

This project seeks to achieve a set of strategic objectives, including:

  • Increase fleet efficiency: By identifying the best operating times for each taxi and optimally allocating tasks, the project will contribute to increasing the number of trips and maximizing the use of available resources.
  • Improving user experience: The project will help reduce waiting time and provide smoother transportation services for passengers.
  • Sustainability: By improving fleet management and reducing congestion, the project will contribute to reducing emissions and improving air quality.
  • Preventive maintenance: Data will be used to analyze the condition of cars and determine the need for maintenance earlier, which will help reduce sudden breakdowns and increase the life of cars.

“We are excited to embark on this first project and partner with Analog to harness the power of the Genius platform, which is the ideal solution for smart city challenges. It is capable of handling huge amounts of diverse data and providing accurate analytics that help improve operational processes,” said Gabriel René, CEO of Versys. “Through this partnership, we aim to empower Analog with the tools to transform this data from different sources into a unified model that Genius agents can constantly rely on to generate insights and recommendations, with the aim of significant cost savings and improved efficiency for fleet operators.”

Partnership between Versys and Analog:

This partnership between Versys and Analog is an important step towards building sustainable smart cities, as the two companies combine their expertise in artificial intelligence and edge computing to provide innovative solutions to various challenges facing cities.

By combining disparate data sources in real-time into a global probabilistic model that takes into account factors such as local events, weather, fleet details, employee preferences, legal requirements, maintenance schedules and inventory, Analog will be able to better monitor and respond to the dynamics of the city’s overall ecosystem, with a positive impact on several aspects, including improving traffic flow and reducing air pollution.

“Our vision for AI-powered edge computing aligns with Versys’ vision for a smarter world, harnessing the power of Genius to deliver business value, empower human skills and simplify everyday life,” said Alex Kipman, founder and CEO of Analog.

“This smart city project is a testament to Abu Dhabi’s commitment to developing technology to address society’s challenges in mobility, healthcare and energy, paving the way for a more connected and sustainable future through a series of upcoming smart city projects,” he added.

It is worth noting that this pilot project is the first in a series of commercial projects that the two companies funded by the G42 Group expect to develop together in the capital, Abu Dhabi, with expected returns of approximately three million dollars.

The two companies plan to expand the scope of this partnership by employing the Genius platform to include other projects in different sectors, such as healthcare and energy, in cooperation with companies in the United Arab Emirates.

Gabriel René, CEO of Versys, and Alex Kipman, Founder and Chairman of Analog, invite you to a webinar on Tuesday, October 1, at 4:00 PM ET (1:00 PM PT), to discuss the details of this strategic partnership and the smart city project.

You can register to attend this seminar via this link starting today until the date of its convening.
