Usually, we tend to register on different websites that we rarely use again. What we usually don’t do is unsubscribe from that website, we simply forget about it. Don’t worry, we have the perfect solution for you through which you can unsubscribe from almost any website you have registered on.

As we mentioned, it is normal to register on a site and never log in again. Our data remains there, along with the password, which if we use it on another site, poses a great risk to our security.

Years ago I found the Just Remove It website, which aggregates a large number of different sites and services. The site organizes them by name, and in addition, they are ranked by the difficulty of unsubscribing. We can use it not only to unsubscribe, but also to know the “risks” we are exposed to when registering for any website or service.

- Green: For those sites and services that allow you to easily unsubscribe.

- Yellow: Used for websites that have some kind of restrictions or do some small work.

- Red: For sites and services that are difficult to unsubscribe from.

- Purple: For services with "limited availability", this is possible, but you have to follow many steps or it makes it very complicated.

- Black: Classification of web pages where account deletion is not possible.

All of these cards, when clicked, lead to a page where we can unsubscribe (if we can). In addition, there is a small description as information about the process. Some aspects are detailed, such as the steps to follow or whether there is a way to unsubscribe and delete your account.

There are some sites and services on the list that prevent you from unsubscribing. One example is Uber, which is said to be impossible. They allow you to choose a reason for deleting your account and it must be deleted within 30 days, but this never happens.

Whirpool, the popular appliance manufacturer, is another prime example of this, and the company refuses to delete accounts. Shopify doesn't let you delete an account either, only deactivating it.

If you’re wondering about popular social networks, Facebook is rated as average because chat and group messages are saved forever. TikTok also appears as average because the process requires a large number of steps. Meanwhile, unsubscribing from Instagram or X (formerly Twitter) is easy.
