This free software can scan and fix all your computer problems in just minutes
Windows computers, like any other electronic device, have the chance of failure or software or hardware errors that we do not understand. One of the important points in any computer is its storage unit, especially the files that are saved here.
These files, which give life to the computer, ensure that everything works properly. But a failure or bad version due to a Windows update can cause our computer to slow down, the taskbar to become unresponsive or even the unit to become completely damaged.
Faced with these issues, Microsoft has come up with different tools that they have integrated into Windows so that users can detect and fix these issues. We are talking about the 'sfc' command that can be easily executed using any computer to perform a complete scan of all these files.
But this is not a foolproof tool, and it may report that some kind of errors have appeared on the hard drive, but it was unable to fix them. To do this, you will simply have to run the other tool, which is DISM.
In this case, while the SFC command is responsible for examining individual files, DISM checks the overall structure of the system. That is why this second command will allow to resolve errors that the first one did not.
This tool can also be run from the command prompt, by entering the text "dism" and selecting one of the functions. But the truth is that it is more complicated to use, which is why you can go to the Deskmodder site where the DISM mini-program is located, so to speak, and download it.
Once you have downloaded and run it, you will be able to click on “Check” and then “Scan” to start searching for possible errors that may occur in the storage unit. At the end of this it will be possible to fix them. All this with simple buttons and without having to deal with lines of code through a command prompt that can shut down any not very advanced user.
