Samsung has launched a new smartphone from the Galaxy M series. The Galaxy M55s 5G follows the Galaxy M55 5G that the company released earlier in April this year.

The new Galaxy M55s 5G features a dual-tone back with three vertical lines running down the left side where the camera sensors are located.

The device comes with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus Infinity-O display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a peak brightness of 1000 nits, and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. There is a fingerprint scanner under the display.

Samsung has equipped the phone with a triple rear camera, with a 50-megapixel primary lens with optical image stabilization and an f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 2-megapixel macro lens with an f/2.4 aperture, in addition to a 50-megapixel front camera with an f/2.2 aperture.

The Galaxy M55s 5G is powered by the same Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor found in the Galaxy M55 5G, along with the Adreno 644 GPU.

The processor is paired with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage, expandable up to 1TB via micro SD card.

The phone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that can be charged via 45W fast charging.

The device runs on OneUI 6.1 based on Android 14 and comes with features like Samsung Knox Vault, Quick Share, etc. The company has promised four generations of Android updates and 5 years of security updates for the phone.

There's also a Voice Focus mode that improves the quality of audio captured by the microphones during calls.

Samsung is launching the Galaxy M55s 5G at $240  for the 8GB + 128GB version, and has not revealed the price of the  8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB versions.
