OpenAI Supports AI Developers with New Initiative
OpenAI has announced the launch of “ OpenAI Academy ,” a new program aimed at supporting developers and organizations seeking to solve challenges and problems with artificial intelligence.
The program primarily aims to make AI accessible and useful to diverse communities around the world, starting with low- and middle-income countries.
OpenAI will provide advanced training and technical resources to developers, enabling them to employ AI in diverse fields such as healthcare, agriculture, education, and financial systems.
According to the company's official statement, its OpenAI Academy program will provide the following:
- Technical Training and Guidance: With support from company experts for developers and goal-oriented organizations using AI.
- API Credits: Distributing $1M in seed credits to expand access to OpenAI models, enabling participants to build and develop innovative applications.
- Community Building: Foster a global network of developers to collaborate, share knowledge, and stimulate collective innovation.
- Competitions and incubators: This includes working with donors to invest in organizations that address challenges in their communities.
The company will soon announce more details on how to access the Academy's resources.
Through the OpenAI Academy, OpenAI is taking important steps to support developers around the world in addressing pressing issues, and reflects its commitment to supporting a more inclusive and accessible environment for AI innovation.
In addition to this new program, the company supports developers through other programs. For example, the company recently published a professional translation of the Massive Multitask Language Understanding (MMLU) standard into 14 languages, including Arabic and other languages.
