New Talaria Electric Dirt Bike Offers High Speeds at an Affordable Price
Redesigned from the ground up , the MX5 Pro is Talaria's answer to the demand of dedicated e - bike riders and sellers .
Apparently , the 72 V 40 Ah battery represents a forty-five percent increase over the MX4 , resulting in an increase in the bike 's power and range .
Likewise, the larger brake calipers on the MX model have larger brake pads than those on the MX4 .
The bike's chain has also been upgraded with the MX5 using a heavy -duty 428 , which Talarias claims is twice as strong as the 420 chain found in the MX4.
Additional changes include three power levels instead of two, a thicker seat with improved padding , and updated front and rear suspension .
Another major upgrade with the MX5 Pro is a more efficient and reliable IPM motor . The MX5 IPM ( Internal Permanent Magnet ) motor addresses issues found in previous versions by removing Hall sensors that were loose inside the motor, causing it to fail .
The new motor uses a magnetic encoder, eliminating the need for Hall sensors and increasing the efficiency and reliability of the motor .
As for speed , Talaria is supposed to reveal that the MX5 Pro is factory - limited to speeds of 20 to 25 mph .
Speed and power limitations are in place to comply with federal, state and local laws , and the buyer is solely responsible for any speed modifications made to the bike .
However , the product listing notes this fact : “ If you remove the limiter , you do so at your own risk ( we do not recommend it ) , and the bike will exceed 50 mph .”
